What To Expect At ABC
There are always questions when you visit a new church for the first time. Hopefully this will answer some of your big questions about worshiping at ABC and help you feel more at home in our service.
Come a little early and you'll be greeted at the door, as well as have time to enjoy a cup of coffee in our Welcome Center. We want you to relax and enter into worship without any fear of being judged by what you wear or how you decide to participate. We are totally comfortable with flip flops or three piece suits. We will not embarrass you by having you stand and announce your name, but please do not be surprised if some of the people around you would like to say hi and get acquainted.
Near the beginning of the service, some announcements will be shared and a general welcome will be extended to all guests, and you will be encouraged to fill out the Tell Us About Yourself slip in the bulletin. We use this for a number of purposes - to be able to recognize your attendance with us, to know if you have prayer needs, and so that we can contact you later to find out how to help you connect.
After we sing songs accompanied by guitars, drums and keyboard, we will typically take up an offering. The offering is for our regular attenders to contribute to the needs of our church. Please do not feel obligated to give in any way. You are our guest! Following the offering, our Pastor will get up to bring our morning message from the Bible.
During the service, we try to offer children’s ministry for preschool through 5th grade. The only time we won't have it is if we don't have enough volunteers for a safe and good learning environment. If you would prefer to have your children stay with you, that is totally cool with us. You can be assured that your child will hear a great Bible lesson in our Children’s Ministry that will resonate with their learning style.
The first Sunday of every month we take the Lord's Supper together.
As you exit our church, it is our prayer that you will have sensed that you have been among friendly people who love Jesus, and that you would consider returning again soon.
